On Sep 5, 2025, Moreau hosted its annual club fair during office hours. Throughout the event, many students promoted displays that highlight the best of their clubs. Today, I will be going over some booths that–In my opinion, stood out to me or the majority of the student body.

Phillipinx Student Association had many students drawn in by its lovely display of cultural items like: books, dolls, instruments, and historical figures. Many participated in the club’s display of the Tinikling dance. Students were invited to join in on the performance by dancing on beat and avoiding having their feet caught by the rapidly moving tinikling sticks. Though I didn’t get the opportunity to try it myself, I was both amazed and entertained by the attempts made by other students who danced beautifully!

The nearby presentation from Black Student Union also seemed to catch the attention of many students. From the colorful usage of kente cloth and references to African American media. Students also were invited to dance to the “Cupid Shuffle,” which caught the attention of many passing by.

Moreau Motors, a club focusing on cars and how to maintain them, also produced an eye-catching display with a car and truck available for students to view. It caught my eye as one of the more dynamic displays for what is a very informative club! I encourage more students to look into the club and their activities (car drives, maintenance classes, etc).

Earth Wise had a particularly striking presentation, from the lovely greenery to the adorable cardboard cutout of the polar bear. I encourage students to check the club out as well as it’s an easy way to get service hours by helping out in the garden, plus you’re contributing to a great cause – helping the Earth!

Theater Club had a lovely display showing snapshots from previous theater productions as well as displaying some events that go on, like open mic. For creative and eccentric students looking for a way to get service hours, Theater Club also offers means of obtaining more!

Chinese Club came out this year with a fun display showcasing their mission statement, as well as beautifully drawn long cutout, and mahjong tiles. I found the treat spinning wheel and picture frame to be a cute addition to the display! I look forward to seeing what upcoming events Chinese Club has planned this year.

Art Club served a colorful and fun display showing off their events, club collaborations, and student artwork with sticky notes alongside the main poster board. I personally loved seeing all the student-made doodles, which I think made the display more interactive and dynamic. They’re very accepting of artists of all skill levels.

Lastly, Okonome Anime Club had a display that just naturally drew me towards it! From the fun inclusion of the pictionary to the adorable plushies out for display. The poster also mentioned the club’s watch parties and discord server that members can use to interact with others and stay updated on club affairs/activities!

Now, keep in mind that these were just the displays that stood out to me. I hope you all check out these clubs and enjoy the ones you joined! Remember to keep an eye out for club opportunities that pop up throughout the year.
