Many student writers don’t have the opportunity to get published and spread their work to a wider audience. Plus, it seems like it’s becoming more and more difficult to even find students who are passionate about writing. (That’s why I’ve been so inspired to see the Moreau student writing community come together for the Mariner Explorer!) So to all my fellow student writers, here’s an awesome opportunity for you to get free feedback on your writing, publish your work online, and join a global community of young authors.
Students x students is a nonprofit, online Medium publication with over 500 followers that provides a platform to uplift student voices and build their confidence and fulfillment in their writing. Our publication is for students, by students: we publish work written by hundreds of middle school, high school, and college undergrad students from across the globe, and our team is made entirely of volunteer students.
We created students x students for a few reasons:
- We didn’t see enough places for students to publish their work online and get feedback to improve their skills.
- We think writing is fun, but school doesn’t always make it seem that way. We want to get students excited about writing again, outside of rubrics and grades.
- We want to bring together student writers from across the world. (We have writers from

We’re always looking for new student writers to write about a wide range of topics! Whether you like writing personal narratives, research papers, op-eds, poetry, and much more, we invite you to apply to become a writer.
