Here is everything you need to know about the world of entertainment in February 2026!
FEBRUARY 1 – Bad Bunny and Kendrick Lamar stole the show at the Grammys.
The list of the night’s award recipients include:
- Record of the Year → “Luther” by Kendrick Lamar with SZA
- Album of the Year → “DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS” by Bad Bunny
- Song of the Year → “Wildflower” by Billie Eilish
- Best New Artist → Olivia Dean
- Best Pop Vocal Album → Lady Gaga
- Best RnB Song → Folded by Kehlani
The openers of the show were Rosé and Bruno Mars with their high-energy pop hit, “APT.” Other performers included Sabrina Carpenter, Tyler the Creator, KATSEYE, and Pharell Williams.

FEBRUARY 2 – The trailer for Michael Jackson’s new biopic is released.
This new biopic is scheduled to be released on April 24, 2026. Starring the King of Pop is Jackson’s niece, Jaafar Jackson. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Jaafar Jackson expressed his utmost gratitude and honor for playing the role.

FEBRUARY 5 – Moulin Rouge closes on Broadway.
For all Broadway fans, Moulin Rouge announced that they will be closing its seven-year run at New York’s Al Hirschfield Theatre on July 26, 2026.
FEBRUARY 6 – The Winter Olympics opening ceremony was held.
The Winter Olympics were held in Milan, Italy, this year. Many popular sports include figure skating, ice hockey, skiing, curling, snowboarding, and bobsleighing. This year, ski mountaineering was newly added to the list of events, marking it the first time in 25 years that an event had been added.
FEBRUARY 8 – The Seattle Seahawks win the Super Bowl against the New England Patriots at Levi’s Stadium.
The final score was 29-13. Bad Bunny also stole the show during his performance at the half-time show. 2026 is surely his year!

FEBRUARY 16 – It is the 50th anniversary of SNL.
First premiering in 1975, SNL marks its 50th anniversary with its own grand special. Guest stars included Pedro Pascal, Sabrina Carpenter, Tom Hanks, and Robert de Niro—these are only a few of the many celebrities that made an appearance. Returning hosts such as Maya Ruldoph, Adam Sandler, and Kristen Wiig made cameos as well.
FEBRUARY 19 – Alysa Liu wins gold for U.S women’s figure skating.
The U.S. has not won in this category since 2002 when Sarah Hughes took the gold. Hailing from the Bay Area herself, Liu is making a name for herself not just in figure skating but also trending on social media.

FEBRUARY 19 – The U.S. women’s hockey team won gold.
The U.S. team defeated Canada 2-1 during the event. The last time the women’s team won was in 2018.
FEBRUARY 22 – The U.S. men’s hockey team won gold.
After a hard-fought battle, the U.S. men’s hockey team won against Canada 2-1. This marks the very first time that both hockey teams simultaneously won gold in one Olympics.
FEBRUARY 27 – Many artists release their long-awaited albums.
Bruno Mars released The Romantic to excited fans after a ten-year hiatus. After undergoing their solo albums, BLACKPINK finally released their third EP Deadline. Mitski also releases her new album Nothing’s About to Happen to Me.
FEBRUARY 27 – Scream 7 is released.
During its first weekend of showings, Scream 7 has brought in $97.2 million to the box office.
FEBRUARY 27 – Pokemon celebrates its 30th anniversary.
Many new products have been released which include three games (Pokemon Champions, Pokemon Winds and Pokemon Waves, and Pokemon Pokopia), clothing lines, and new trading cards.
